DIZYGOTIC is back to commemorate the 19th Anniversary of Malice at the Palace

On November 19th, we mark the 19th anniversary of the world-famous 'Malice at the Palace' fight. This notorious event unfolded during an NBA game between the Indiana Pacers and the Detroit Pistons. Widely regarded as one of the most infamous brawls in NBA history, the fight erupted with less than a minute remaining in the game and involved numerous players and even spectators at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan, USA.

To commemorate this notorious event, our dear friends at DIZYGOTIC are releasing a special edition of their 'Project Alpha' silhouette. Similar to previous releases, the left and right shoes are asymmetrical, with each of them representing a different team, inspired by the 2004 heritage basketball. Furthermore, the numbers on the heel of each shoe pay tribute to the best defensive players of that era, and the number on the right insole represents the date, while the numbers on the left insole represent the time left on the clock and the scores. As a final detail, a debossed 2004 blue cup is printed on the left shoe tongue as a nostalgic symbol.
